Our Client is a global investment advisory firm managing approximately $2.8 billion in investments through a family of hedge funds for institutional and high net worth clients worldwide. Everest’s clients include some of the world’s leading corporate and public pension funds, endowments, foundations and insurance companies. Since it’s founding in 1990, the Company has invested globally using a multi-strategy approach, focusing on debt and equity securities as well as arbitrages and special situations in the U.S., Europe, Japan and emerging markets globally. Their group of companies operate out of offices in Miami, Bermuda, Geneva, Shanghai, and Singapore.
At this time, our Client has retained the services of Expertise to assist them in sourcing a talented and motivated Senior Investment Accountant for their dynamic team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the selected individual will work in a small team of professionals delivering services to the investment management and marketing teams. Key aspects of this role will be the production of timely financial information and meeting fiduciary obligations. The selected Accountant will possess a strong desire to expand their knowledge of the investment industry and show a commitment towards furthering their education.
Minimum qualifications:
• Internationally recognized accounting designation (CA or equivalent) coupled with 3+ years relevant experience in the investment accounting field with prior experience in an investment management firm, fund administrator, or audit firm
• Sound knowledge of multi-currency investment accounting, securities, worldwide securities markets, and regulations applicable thereto
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• PC proficient and familiarity with investment accounting software
• CFA designation or the desire to obtain such a designation would be an asset
