Our Client is Bermuda's leading financial institution. At this time, they are expanding their marketing department and are looking for a Marketing Intelligence Manager to join their team!

The Market Intelligence Manager will play a critical role in the development of cohesive marketing strategies and market analysis across all business divisions as required. This position will report directly to the Head of Marketing and be responsible for the following:

- Create and implement a regular program of competitor tracking; collect data on competitors and analyze their product mix, pricing, and method of sales, marketing and distribution; model and measure the possible impact of competitor launches; provide regular competitive intelligence reports
- Collect and interpret market data on local market customer demographics, preferences, needs, buying habits
- Identify internal information sources; build effective relationships with subject matter experts; access applications and conduct interviews for information gathering as required
- Act as the central co-ordination point and repository for all customer and market intelligence, research and data; analyze and interpret data and information from multiple sources to identify patterns, trends and recommended actions; prepare reports on findings
- Keep abreast of global trends in the financial services industry for benchmarking the local market
- Manage relationships with external research vendors; prepare research briefs and monitor vendor performance
- Work closely with Marketing Relationship Managers in the marketing planning process; provide assistance in the development and presentation of supporting content for trends, market conditions and the competitive landscape
- Develop communications channels for incoming and outgoing information flow including creating and maintaining a Market Intelligence section of the Marketing enCompass site

Operational Risk & Compliance accountabilities will include:
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Implement the Group Compliance Policy by containing risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance department;
- Continually re-assess the operational risks inherent to the business, taking account of economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management of restructurings, and the impact of new technology.

Minimum experience and qualifications required:
- B.S Degree, preferably in Marketing. Masters or MBA a plus.
- 10 years of marketing experience, part of which must be in the financial industry
- Experience in gathering competitive intelligence and working with third party vendors
- Self-motivated and the ability to work under pressure alone and as a team
- The ability to drive projects, while maintaining a positive work environment
- Sound appreciation of social and world economics affairs
