Assistant Director – Analytics (Insurance)

You will lead a team responsible for designing and implementing the Authority’s risk framework and market analysis programme (with emphasis on Insurance). Reporting to the Director of Policy, Research & Risk Assessment you will provide insurance risk framework and risk model development, market analysis and risk training and support.
You will be responsible for assisting and advising the Director on all technical matters pertaining to the Authority’s risk assessment framework, macroeconomic drivers and risk modelling tools. This will involve identifying and monitoring economic indicators and trends that impact the market at the macro level.
Experience & Qualifications:
• A Master’s degree or professional qualification in Finance or Risk Management.
• Senior management level experience in the financial services industry, consulting arena or with a regulatory body.
• The ability to interface with the financial services industry, government and various international regulatory bodies.
• Excellent analytical skills with outstanding attention to detail.

The Bermuda Monetary Authority is the integrated regulator of the financial services sector in Bermuda. The Authority develops risk-based financial regulations that apply to the supervision of Bermuda’s banks, trust companies, investment businesses, investment funds, fund administrators, money service businesses and insurance companies. It also regulates the Bermuda Stock Exchange and issues Bermuda’s national currency.
